SECURE Act Changes Retirement Benefit Rules

On December 20, 2019 the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement ("SECURE") Act was signed into law. This new law went into effect on January 1, 2020. This new legislation includes changes that may affect your qualified retirement plans (such as a 401(k) or IRA) ("Retirement Assets"). Major Changes to Connecticut Trust Law

In 2019 Connecticut passed legislation that went into effect on January 1, 2020 completely revamping the laws governing trusts in Connecticut. The Connecticut Uniform Trust Code (CUTC) modernizes Connecticut trust law and establishes a foundation of rules for creating, administering, and terminating trusts.
